We are Sahakar Foundation®, Since 2018

With the inspiration and blessings of Sree Sree Sree Shivakumara Swamiji, Our trust was started in the year 2018 as a small team of seven members to combat various problems in society like the unemployment, poverty and to improve the mental health of those affected by the natural calamities in Karnataka.

"Helping hands are better than praying lips"
Having this thought in mind and kindness in their hearts, seven youths from an engineering college in Tumkur decided that they should give something back to society.

It started when we started investing our time in teaching the kids of Siddaganga Mutt about discipline on weekends. As donating and helping was bliss, very soon, we identified like-minded people who passionately believe in helping, and hence the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) "Sahakar Foundation" came into existence on February 22nd, 2019. Sahakar was started by a group of seven members, which has now evolved into a team of twenty-eight members and seventy volunteers.
